Default Guild Hierarchy

I have been thinking about this idea for awhile now.

With the Guild Hierarchy, I am hoping that this minor addition could allow the guild to be managed more easilier and allow more dimensions to the guild.

This is simple.

Give the Leader of the guild the ability to make up to 15 other positions to form a Guild Hierarchy and to define the level of authority of each position. In addition, the leader could custom make his Guild Hierarchy maybe only using 2 or 3 additional Guild Hierarchy positions & have the ability to name the postions what they wanted with no title having to be the same as the other. Titles could be as simple as Recruitment officier to Warlord of the Realm.

I believe this addition could make guildwars a more dynamic game and make a guild a little more mangable for a guild leader, as well as make the dynamics of the guild more interesting. It would take the boring positions only of member, officier, & leader and liven it up a little but still be simple. This would allow better management of guilds, give members more to strive for within a guild, and allow for more indepth hierarchy.

I wanted to add to this, that this could be placed as a add-on thru the Guild Lord in the Guild Hall, with a cost for the upgrade. This makes it an option for the guild to have and not a mandatory one. This allows the larger guilds especailly guilds within an alliance to have more management, and all the reasons I have already stated beforehand.

****************************************
Guild Hierarchy:
(Example #1)

1 Leader

2 Co-Leaders - authority to demote anyone under them & make Officiers, Lieutenants, Captains, & Generals. Remove & Recruit members.

3 Generals - authority to demote anyone under them & make Officiers, Lieutenants, & Captains. Remove & Recruit members.

4 Captains - authority to demote anyone under them & make Officiers & Lieutenants. Remove & Recruit members.

5 Lieutenants - authority to demote anyone under them & make Officiers. Remove & Recruit members.

Officiers - authority to Remove members & Recruit members.

****************************************
Guild Hierarchy:
(Example #2)

1 Leader

3 Warlords - authority to demote anyone under them & make Officiers. Remove & Recruit members.

Officiers - authority to Remove members & Recruit members.

Thank you beforehand for your time & any consideration that you may give to my suggestion.

I do not agree witht he ability to ban people from the Guild Chat and Guild Hall, for what would be the point of having either of those if they could be tuned off so easily like that? It is unfair for some people to lose the privelages of the other members. Why not just "Punish" them by kicking them out of the Guild.

Anyways that'll all my ranting for today.

It would b good for punishment for player who things there shouldn't not just a simple kick. You could have somthing like

Leader- in charge of all
Warlord- in can organize (like General) of gvg, promotes ppl to general
General- can orgaize a gvg
(can't think a name)- in charge of things for the alliance
(can't think of name)- someone who deals with the hall
Members- can ab, gvg, if one is started, talk on guild and alliance(like now)
(can't think of a good name, but there for punishment)- can only ab, and talk on guild, no alliance chat

If sum one said sumthing almost exactly the same i agree with you

/signed. this really needs to be done.

Hey, has anyone sent an email to Anet about this thread? We should. We should say:
"HEY! We were proactive and went to the forums first with this idea, got a bunch of sigs, WE WANT THIS! Implement it, please?" Combine this with a link to the forum.

Something like that. I'll be glad to if nobody else volunteers.

totally agree, also an addition would be the ability to set members, officers to only recruit and not kick, thus giving you the broader recruiting field and alliviating the fear of your whole guild being kicked by an "unscrupulous" grudge bearer : ( !!!

Guild leaders should have more power and control within their guild hall as well, and alot more customization.

looks nice and hopefulyl an improvement, altho i woudl be caustious about making too many ranks, as if you've been in a guild for a month and your at rank3/10 you may get fed up.

If it works in other games, why not GUILD Wars. With so much emphasis on GUILDS in this game, one must wonder why there isn't more to it.

It works in RO, it'll work in Guild Wars... and trust me, there are alot more immature people on RO and it sitll works.

It needs to be done, it helps with the organization of the guild. My guild has General Managers and Senior officers who have more Power than regular officers but they only have that power on our website and in authority, it would be nice if they could actually do more than a regular officer.
